Founded in 1596, Gimnazija Bežigrad has undergone many changes, but has remained a prestigious highschool in Ljubljana renowned for its rich history and the academic success of its students. The students of Bežigrad grammar school, consistently show high achievements in the Slovene standardised exam, Matura, positioning it among the top grammar schools in central Europe, and many have followed distinguished careers. The school currently supports two programmes, the Slovene national program, and the International Baccalaureate programme. This blend of national and international education fosters a diverse and dynamic learning environment, attracting students from various cultural backgrounds and ensures an exciting atmosphere.
